Playful Pony Video (coming to my channel tomorrow!)
I’ve been wearing this hairstyle a lot and have had many compliments on it. The braid takes a bit of practice if your not used to doing dutch braids, but if you’re used to braiding your hair, it’s super fast. The braid also give you a mini face lift, which is always a good thing!
I went out Street style spotting with Go2bUk to find some cool hairstyles that could spark some inspiration for you all! Here is what I found:
This style is fast and great for every day wear. The twist blow dry technique enables you to achieve natural looking waves, and the Made for mess range helps add extra texture. My favourite product from this range is the made for mess texturising hairspray. It holds your hair in place and makes it look ‘worn in’ which I really like.
Just For the Curls
This hairstyle really caught my eye, I loved the sleekness of her curls! To recreate the look you could follow the step by step video on the got2b channel ‘Just For The Curls’ using the 2 sexy product range. By adding the got2b 2 sexy big volume push up mousse in your roots it adds a load of lift.
This look would be great for a girls night out or a special party/event.
More and more I am seeing the half top knot look around, and I love it! Of course the classic top knot will never go out of fashion. As with the Just for curls look, the 2 sexy range will help add in volume and hold so you top knots can last all day.
To spice up your bun a bit try adding in a braid. You can find the ‘high n’ mighty’ tutorial on the got2b channel showing you exactly how to achieve it.
This is one of my recent faves, as shown in my video above. The playful pony is a great way to add interest to your hair and is really practical for school.
Having the braid slightly on one side means your not going way overboard with braiding. Try hiding the band with a section of your hair to make the hairstyle look more polished.
When I create this hairstyle I like to use the got2b beach matt salt spray to add texture to my hair. To create volume at the crown I like to add a little of the powderful volumising powder to the roots.
Dutch and french braids were very popular and look really cool. If you have short hair, try dutch/ french braiding back your hair with a centre part and crossing over the ends at the back, secured with pins. Medium length hair can continue the braid down past the neck. Those lucky enough to have long long luscious locks can create beautiful milkmaid braids, such as this one above which is actually a twist braid. Twist braids always look very different but like all braids once you get the hang of it, I would say it’s the easiest to do.
I hope you got some inspiration from this post! Let me know if you re-create any of the above using the hashtag #got2binspire and don't forget to check out the got2b channel for more hair tutorials (I will link it below).
